At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be able to:

  1. Understand the cardiac physiology of pregnancy
  2. Assess the maternal and fetal risk of pregnancy in women with a variety of cardiac conditions
  3. Know how to follow pregnant women with heart disease during pregnancy, labor and delivery and the post-partum period.
  4. Decide on the appropriate timing and mode of delivery in women with cardiac problems.
  5. Select the most appropriate drugs, as well as diagnostic tests during pregnancy.
